Gospel Reading for 8 November 2023 | Luke 14:25-33
Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
The Bread of Life is a Catholic Charismatic prayer group dedicated to living out Christian values.
The Charismatic Renewal is a movement in the Catholic Church that recognises God as living and active.
Join us as we adore Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
Join us as we draw closer to God through praise and worship.
We share the love and joy of Christ to those who have been largely ignored by society.
We volunteer our time and abilities to serve the Lord and those around us.
We are dedicated to making you feel at home as part of God’s larger family.
We intercede for the Church, the prayer group and you and your families.
We draw you closer to God through praise and worship, using music and Scripture.
We are always available to pray with you and help you discern God’s will for your life.
The Bread of Life prayer group meets every Thursday at 6 p.m. to worship the Lord and to share the Word. We also meet for Eucharistic Adoration on the first Thursday of every month. These meetings are streamed live on our YouTube channel.
The Bread of Life prayer group meets every day, over Zoom, between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. where we pray together and intercede for the needs of the Church and the prayer group, and for you and your loved ones. We’d love to have you join us!
The Bread of Life youth meet on most Saturdays at 5 p.m. where we worship the Lord, share the Word, and help each other navigate the world we live in, while living out Christian values. All are welcome!
Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
Go out to the highways and hedges, and compel people to come in, that my house may be filled.
You will be repaid at the resurrection of the just.
Every one who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.
Then he took him and healed him, and let him go.
I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
It is like a mustard seed which a man took and threw into his garden: it grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air sheltered in its branches.’
All his adversaries were put to shame; and all the people rejoiced at all the glorious things that were done by him.
On these two commandments depend all the law and the prophets.
