“One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple.” (Psalm 27:4).
There are many ways of knowing the Lord Jesus. But, one of the main blocks of knowing Jesus is to want to know Him in the way we are comfortable. This keeps us from fully experiencing God’s depth.
“Blessed be the Lord, who has not given us as prey to their teeth! We have escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers; the snare is broken, and we have escaped.” (Psalm 124:6-7).
“Be my rock of refuge, to which I can always go; give the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.” (Psalm 71:3).
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” (Psalm 139:13-14).

Many times we tend to think of ourselves more highly than we should. Praising God humbles us.
